Hindu Day

On 17th January, Year 5 enjoyed Hindu Day where they learnt about the religion and got a chance to dress up in Royal Hindu Family clothes.

At the start of the day Sunita told us a Hindu story about how the celebration Diwali started.

After that, we learnt a lot about the Hindu Gods, celebration and their stories.  One of the stories is a well known Hindu celebration when you throw powder paints and paint at anyone!

Near the end of the day we got dressed up in Royal Hindu Family clothes.  We put Hindu moves together to make a dance.

Before home time we said goodbye to Sunita in Hindi and she let us keep the bindi we had on our forehead.
